A sign on the side of a truck for the Genoa National Fish Hatchery is shown April 30, 2018, at Fort McCoy, Wis. The hatchery is run by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). USFWS employees released 15,000 rainbow trout into Forrt McCoy waters April 30 and May 1, 2018. The trout were stocked in time for the new fishing season, which began May 5, 2018, and the fish averaged in size at about 10 inches long. Some fish were even larger, exceeding 17 inches in length.
