Carmen Millan Figueroa, a resident of the mountainous neighborhood of Sector Limon de Marquez in Jayuya, Puerto Rico invites John Thibodeaux, a quality assurance specialist with USACE into her home after electrical workers contracted by the Corps energized a line that restored electricity to her neighborhood May 4, 2018. Since Hurricane Maria struck the island in September, a combined effort by USACE, FEMA, the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, and the utility industry continues to restore electricity in Puerto Rico.
