Henry Sonagere, World War II Veteran, is recognized and awarded the Legion of Honor Medal by Jean-Michel Caffin, the commander of the French Navy, during the Legion of Honor Ceremony, as part of Fleet Week Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL, May 5, 2018. The veterans were awarded the highest French order of merit for the military by Clement Leclerc, the Consul General of France, for their valor and bravery during Normandy and follow-on campaigns during WWII.
