180504-N-KN989-0003 HONOLULU (May 4, 2018) – Yeoman 1st Class Candice Walker applauds as other service members from the Hawaii-area receive certificates of appreciation during an opening ceremony in observance of Military Appriciation Month. Walker, assigned to U.S. Pacific Command, was selected as one of the Navy’s nominees for performing outstanding community service in Hawaii. Lt. Governor Doug Chin issued a proclamation designating May as Hawaii Military Appreciation Month to honor Hawaii-area service members for their efforts in making their community a better place.
