On May 2, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Robert Neller addressed Marines of Headquarters and Service Battalion, Quantico and awarded the top three teams of Marines from the Belleau Wood leadership and PME competition. The winning team will travel to Belleau, France for the Memorial Day commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the service defining battle!
Each of the competing teams (consisting of an officer, SNCO, NCO and two junior Marines) submitted a publishable essay, Tactical Decision Game (TDG) and gave a presentation on the theme of their essay to a panel of distinguished judges.
