Two Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, secure the beach at Freshwater Bay, Queensland, Australia, as the second wave of Amphibious Assault Vehicles land as part of an amphibious assault during Talisman Sabre 2011, July 19, 2011. Approximately 350 Marines assaulted the beach signifying the start of TS11. TS11 is a biennial joint international training exercise held during July aimed at improving and validating the Australian Defense Force and United States combat readiness and interoperability as a combined joint task force.
