    Pittsburgh native Cpl. Zachary Beamer bares the scar by his left ear where shrapnel from an Improvised Explosive Device recently hit his face. The assaultman with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, spent only two weeks in recovery for injuries across his left arm and torso before returning to his unit.
