IRISH SEA (April 24, 2018) Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Ofei Wellington passes firefighting equipment down a scuttle during a "flying squad" drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71), April 24, 2018. The ship's flying squad is a group of highly-trained first responders to emergencies such as fires and flooding. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its sixth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners and U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
