(April 26, 2018) Sailors assigned to the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) and Naval Station Mayport’s port operations moor the ship to a pier during an exercise for HURREX/Citadel Gale 2018. The annual hurricane exercise is designed to prepare the Navy to respond to weather threats in coastal regions and maintain the ability to deploy forces, even under the most adverse weather conditions.
