Marek, who convinced his mother to go with his love of music, said he plays the flute for his school band in Spring Valley and was most impressed by BOMA’s piccolo player. His mother, despite it not being her original idea to go, said in the end it was completely worth her time. “I feel like music in general speaks a universal language,” said Boysen. “I have three boys and they’re all very into history and all three of them are very into military… I know he kind of drug me into it; it was his idea, but I really enjoyed it.”
