This side-by-side illustration compares the performance of the previous radiological-nuclear point detector, VDR-2, and the MERLIN VIPER. Both performed a reconnaissance run in an urban village training area, and MERLIN VIPER provided Soldiers with a more detailed picture of radiological-nuclear hazards in much less time.
