Construction of the classroom building (left) at the Professional Military Education Center on McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in East Tennessee made for close quarters and a muddy campus during the Fall of 1989. Phase One construction also included the new NCO academy dormitory. Bulldozers and dump trucks had started moving dirt for Phase Two in the construction, which included the multi-media building and multi-purpose building. (U.S. Air National Guard file photo)
