    Marine Rotational Force - Darwin

An Australian airman directs U.S. Marines and Sailors supporting Marine Rotational Force - Darwin 2018, April 17, after arriving at the Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin, Australia. MRF-D is a six month rotational deployment where Marines and Sailors work alongside the Australian Defence Force to conduct multilateral training. This deployment is a tangible demonstration of the United States’ sustained commitment to the alliance with Australia and Indo-Pacific region. This iteration will improve security cooperation activities, disaster relief response capabilities and the ability to respond to various crises throughout the region (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Rivera, Kayla D./Released).
