U.S. Air Force Capt. Dinan, nephew of the late U.S. Air Force Reserve 1st Lt. David Dinan, III, came to the DPAA Laboratory to collect the remains of his uncle. Dinan will escort his uncle's remains during transport to his final resting place. 1st Lt. David Dinan, III, was accounted for Aug. 7, 2017. He was a pilot with the 34th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 288th Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force when he perished during a strike mission over northern Laos in the spring of 1969. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
