180416-N-IE405-1033 SAN DIEGO (April 16, 2018) Logistics Specialist 1st Class Clarissa Basa anxiously waits to see what her current weight is from Assistant Command Fitness Leader Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Brian Yocum for this year's Physical Fitness Assessment Cycle One held at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Health and Wellness Center. Fifteen hundred out of 3700 Sailors at NMCSD scored an overall "excellence" from the previous PRT cycle and was exempt from participation in this year's cycle. The Navy announced the new Physical Readiness Program in NAVAMIN 141/17 last PRT cycle, which includes an incentive for Sailors to validate one physical readiness test (PRT) each year based on their fitness performance.
