CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (April 13, 2018) During a simulated lung function screening, Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class (FMF) Cruz Escobedo coaches Janemarie Schoonover to inhale as much air as possible before steadily exhaling through the mouthpiece of a handheld device connected to the computer that measures the volume and flow of air. Schoonover is an occupational health nurse and Escobedo is an occupational health technician, both from Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi, undergoing the one day Spirometry recertification class.
