A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station San Deigo transports parts of a new navigational aid to the Anaheim East Bay Jetty Light 6, at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, California, April 18, 2018. Managing the nations aids to maritime navigation is in fact the earliest mission of the Caost Guard, as this mission began officialy on August 7, 1789, when Congress agreed to accept control of the nation's lighthouses that were previously run by the colonies.
