Private First Class Maxwell Schumer competes in a “stress shoot” event during the 2018 Major Command-level Best Warrior Competition at Devens Reserve Forces Training Area, Massachusetts on April 18, 2018. The event consisted of a quarter-mile trail run followed by engaging targets with the M9 and is intended to increase the Soldier’s physical and mental stress level prior to shooting. Eighteen competitors from the 76th Operational Response Command, 412th Theater Engineer Command (TEC), 412th TEC and 99th Readiness Command are vying for the title of Best Warrior for their respective commands.
