The Southern Zone Commanding Officer addresses students and instructors that took part in academics week leading up to Exercise African Lion 18 at Southern Zone Headquarters, Morocco, April 13, 2018. Academic classes for AL18 include an Intelligence Capacity Building Workshop, Basic Intelligence Course, Public Affairs Workshop, Rule of Law Workshop, and Communications Workshop, which are all designed to enhance professional relationships and improve interoperability. Participation in the academics week of the exercise include members of the armed forces of Morocco, United States, Canada, Italy, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Chad, Senegal, Egypt, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
