A pararescue airman lowers to the ground while latched on to the jungle penetrator of an aircraft hoist during rescue hoist training with soldiers from Task Force Lobos, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, July 16. German soldiers who are part of an extrication team also took part in the training as well, gaining familiarity with the usage of the aircraft hoist as a means of insertion into rugged and mountainous areas within Afghanistan.
