U.S. Navy Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Timothy Dailey and U.S. Navy Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Ryan Filo, both with Construction Diving Detachment Bravo (CDDB), Underwater Construction Team 2, conduct an inspection dive as part of the port assessment in Yap, Federated States of Micronesia on March 21, 2018. CDDB used various underwater inspection techniques to complete a comprehensive port assessment of the waterfront facilities in Yap, FSM as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet's operation Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18). PP18's mission is to work collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific Region. Pacific Partnership, now in its 13th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. CDDB is on the fourth stop of their six-month deployment where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
