YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 10, 2018) Cmdr. Philip D. King, a chaplain assigned to U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka, lights a candle during the 2018 Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony, April 10 at the base Fleet and Family Service Center. King said this event holds special meaning to him because his father was personally affected by the holocaust while serving in World War II. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
