    176th Engineer Brigade (36th ID, TXARNG)

    In this image released by the Texas Military Forces, soldiers of the 176th Engineer Brigade step off the aircraft that brought them home from a year-long deployment to Afghanistan. The brigade's mission included humanitarian construction projects and road-clearing as U.S. forces continue to stabilize the region. On site at the homecoming were senior Texas Military Forces leadership, including Maj. Gen. John F. Nichols, adjutant general for Texas; Brig. Gen. Joyce Stevens, commander for the Texas Army National Guard; Command Sgt. Maj. Jim Broyles, Texas Army National Guard sergeant major and Command Sgt. Maj. Bradley Brandt, senior enlisted advisor for the Texas Military Forces.
