The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ debris removal mission conducted physical completions in two municipalities (Aguadilla and San Lorenzo) in Puerto Rico today, Apr. 3, 2018.
The Corps removed 80 thousand cubic yards of debris from Aguadilla (6,600 truckloads) and 47 thousand cubic yards of debris from San Lorenzo (3,900 truckloads).
As part of the hurricane recovery efforts, FEMA tasked USACE with removal of 3.9 million cubic yards of debris from Puerto Rico.
So far, the Corps has removed a total of 3,843,069 cubic yards from 27 of the 55 municipalities that requested assistance.
