180327-N-PH222-0333 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 27, 2018) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Apprentice Eddie Delacruz, right, assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), from Garden Grove, Calif., along with Marine Corps Capt. Owen T. Schreiber, from Wauwatosa, Wis., and Marine Corps 1st Lt. Justin Lenhart, from St. Pete, Fla., assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter detachment of Marine Medium Tiltroto Squadron (VMM) 166 reinforced, perform pre-flight checks on an AH-1Z Viper prior to flight operations. Anchorage is underway with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
