SAN DIEGO (March 13, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Gregory Ogle, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), fastens a screw while hanging a piece of drywall during the construction of a townhouse for a Habitat for Humanity community service project. Makin Island is in dry dock at General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) for a depot-level maintenance availability.
