The USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO-199) connects lines to the USS Wasp (LHD-1) during a replenishment at sea while underway in the Philippine Sea, March 29, 2018. A RAS is a resupply of fuel or supplies from ship to ship while underway. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit partners with the Navy’s Amphibious Squadron 11 to form the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, a cohesive blue-green team capable of accomplishing a variety of missions across the Indo-Pacific.
