PHILIPPINE SEA (March 27, 2018) A landing craft, air cushion, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, prepares to enter the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners, serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency and advance the Up-Gunned ESG concept.
