Booby birds lie in a tree on Ulupa’u Crater, Range Training Facility, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, March 15, 2018. Base environmental teamed with Pacific Rim Conservation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Oikonos in an attempt to relocate Red-footed Booby seabirds. Decoys and speakers are being placed in trees away from the firing area so that U.S. Marines will be able to train, produce readiness, and minimize impact to this federally protected species.
