In this image released by the Texas Military Forces, representatives from the TXMF explain how the Air National Guard fits into the newly formed Texas Homeland Response Force to State Air Surgeons at the Air NG Readiness Frontiers 2011 Conference, June 24, 2011, in San Antonio. The two-week conference provided diverse, focused training in disaster/critical care management. It also was the perfect opportunity for members of the Texas Military Forces to meet and interact with key leaders and organization leaders in a non-emergency setting. Speakers from the TXMF included Col. Garry Moore, State Air Surgeon for Texas, Lt. Col. Daniel Quick, 6th CERFP commander and Col. Connie McNabb, Joint Forces Headquarters. The CERFP encompasses units capable of managing chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear events and includes a medical element from the Air National Guard.
