A cargo pallet has been extracted from the rear of the aircraft and is suspended by a drogue parachute trailing behind. A cargo pallet has been extracted from the rear of the aircraft and is suspended by a drogue parachute trailing behind. This appears to be a low-altitude parachute extraction system (LAPES) or standard airdrop operation.
    The image shows four military paratroopers descending through a partly cloudy sky using dark olive/black and yellow parachutes. The silhouetted figures are suspended beneath large canopy parachutes in a staggered vertical formation. The dramatic backlighting and cloud streaks create a striking contrast between the dark parachutes and the bright sky.
