A CH-47F Chinook from1st Air Cavalry Brigade, foreground and a UH-60 Black Hawk from 1st ACB take off to conduct a mission over northern Afghanistan. The Chinook can carry payloads of more than 21,000lbs, provide fire support, air defense, transport ground forces to battle and carry critical cargo. The Black Hawk can complete a wide range of missions, from troop transportation, electronic warfare, medical evacuation, to air assault missions.
