180319-N-ZF498-024 SAN DIEGO (Mar. 19, 2018) – Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Vice Adm. Mary Jackson dons her flight helmet in preparation for an aerial tour of Southwest region metro installations with commanding officers from Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado and Naval Base Point Loma. As the Navy’s installations commander, Jackson oversees the Navy’s overall mission of supporting warfighters and their families and fleet readiness from an installation perspective. Navy installations are complex, diverse platforms designed to support and enhance warfighter readiness by providing manning, training and resources to meet the fleet’s operational requirements. CNIC provides installation support that ensure U.S. forces and its allies continue to fly, sail and operate around the world. (U.S. Navy Photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Anthony N.
