Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Emergency Center nurse and training instructor Julie McIntosh reviews graded tests with Spc. Sean Colangelo and Spc. Tory Alexander, both assigned to the 86th Combat Support Hospital “Eagle Medics”. Colangelo, Alexander and eleven other nurses and medics completed the Trauma Nursing Core Course March 7 and 8 at Blanchfield to review the best methods for trauma intervention. The evidence-based course curriculum is standard across the Department of Defense giving military and federal service medical personnel the skills they need to rapidly assess and treat trauma patients to save lives.
