Two soldiers in the foreground appear to be handling a furled flag or guidon with an orange cover, consistent with a unit colors ceremony such as a casing or uncasing of colors. A third soldier stands in the background holding a flagpole with visible yellow and red guidons.

Lt. Col. Kathy Fox, commander of the 50th Signal Battalion (Expeditionary) and Command Sgt. Maj. Shannon Cromartie, command sergeant major of the 50th Signal Battalion (Expeditionary), based out of Fort Bragg, N.C., uncase their colors at the transfer of authority ceremony between themselves and the 151st Expeditionary Signal Battalion, based out of Greenville, S.C. The ceremony took place at the Al Faw Palace on Victory Base Complex, June 20.
