Zara, daughter of Tech. Sgt. Jean “Jay” Fleurantin, 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron electronic warfare technician, receives treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia at Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. Zara was diagnosed with cancer in January 2017 and after numerous unsuccessful rounds of chemotherapy, Jay donated bone marrow as a last resort and in May 2017 the doctors announced Zara’s cancer was in full remission.
