Staff Sgt. Janine Smeltz, one of three female Best Warrior candidates, keeps moving forward during the 10K road march at the Army Reserve Best Warrior competition at Fort McCoy, Wis., June 22. Smeltz, a native of Herndon, Pa., is representing the 335th Signal Command at this year's competiton. The warriors have 2 1/2 hours to complete the course carrying a full combat load along a paved course with moderate to steep road inclines.
