2018 Army Spouse of the Year recipient Krista Anderson poses for a photo, Feb. 25, in her home in Olympia, Washington, with the beret of her fallen husband Staff Sgt. Michael Simpson behind her. Anderson will represent the Army in the overall competition for military spouses to be awarded the honor of Military Spouse of the Year for all of the armed services. There are three phases of voting, culminating in the announcement of the Military Spouse of the Year in Washington, D.C. in early May.
