Staff Sgt. Nicholas Byers, front, and Tech. Sgt. Micah Theurich, behind, both from the 1st Combat Camera Squadron, perform range safety officer duties as participants fire at pop-up targets during a M-4 Carbine Rifle training class at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, Feb. 8, 2018 as part of Exercise Scorpion Lens. Exercise Scorpion Lens is an annual Ability to Survive and Operate training exercise mandated by Air Force Combat Camera job qualification standards. Held at the United States Army Training Center Fort Jackson and the McCrady Training Center, Eastover, S.C. the exercise's purpose is to provide refresher training to combat camera personnel.
