A Buddhist monk wearing a traditional saffron/orange robe is writing or inscribing text on a white wall surface. He is bald, as is customary for monks, and appears to be carefully applying script characters using a pen or stylus. The setting appears to be at a temple or religious building, with a dark-framed doorway or window visible to the right.
