A general officer's accouterments await presentation during the promotion ceremony of Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Matthew Easley. He was promoted to brigadier general during a ceremony at the Colorado State Patrol Training Academy, Golden, Colorado Jan. 6, 2018. Title 10 USA Section 2574 allows each general officer to receive a model M9 pistol on loan and purchase it when he or she retires.
