Coast Guard helps 2 men to safety after their boat hit an object off North Carolina coast [Image 2 of 3]
Petty Officer 2nd Class Zachary Timm, a machinery technician from Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach, operates a dewatering pump to evacuate the water off of a sinking boat approximately 13 miles off the coast of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, on Feb. 21, 2018. The boaters reportedly hit a floating piece of debris, which created a gash in the hull.
