U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Temporary Power Mission Manager, Jake Ellison, inspects a non-federal power generator located at a port in Ponce, Puerto Rico on February 18, 2018.
Following the damage done by Hurricane Maria, the USACE was tasked by FEMA to provide maintain and repair privately owned generators at critical public facilities until grid-power is restored. To date crews have repaired more than 150 generators and performed generator maintenance more than 290 times.
