Cobra Gold 18: Trading lessons learned

U.S. Army Maj. Kelly Haux (left), a public affairs officer with U.S. Army Pacific, speaks to U.S. Navy HM3 David Bahena (center) and Sgt. Robert Clough (right), both from the Apache Company, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, about their training, Feb. 17, 2018 during Exercise Cobra Gold 18 in Phu Lamyai, Kingdom of Thailand. Bahena, a senior line corpsman and a native of Dallas, Texas, and Clough, an anti-tank missile Marine and a native of Birmingham, Michigan, were training in the area with Soldiers from the U.S. Army’s 1-21 Infantry Battalion, 25th Infantry Division and their Royal Thai counterparts. The exercise, now in it’s 37th iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crisis by bringing together a robust multinational force to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region. Cobra Gold 18 is an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand held from Feb. 13-23 with seven full participating nations. (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt. Justin Silvers)
