180215-N-SF984-0238 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 15, 2018) Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Eliezer Robles, from Los Angeles, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), reloads a .50-caliber machine gun during a gun shoot on the ship's aft missile deck. Dewey is on a scheduled deployment to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific region. It will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
