A medical evacuation UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter taking off after picking up a mock casualty from Florence Military Reservation, Jan. 20. MEDEVAC’s are practiced so that Infantrymen know how to properly signal for aviation and load casualties under duress. Approximately 350 Soldiers participated in the air assault and an additional 300 Soldiers participated in roles within mission command supporting the exercise itself.
