On Jan. 31, 1958, Dr. John Meisenheimer gave the "go" for weather for the Explorer 1 mission as the Launch Weather Officer, launching America's first satellite into space. Sixty years later, Dr. Meisenheimer returned to the Cape for the 60th Anniversary Ceremony -- and to help launch GovSat-1 launch alongside Mr. Mike McAleenan.
