PEARL HARBOR NAVAL BASE, HI – Marines and Sailors with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and America Amphibious Ready Groups aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) salute as they pass the USS Arizona Memorial leaving port, Jan. 25, 2018. Manning the rails is a Naval tradition every deploying ship performs and is a method of saluting or rendering honors used by naval vessels. The 15th MEU and America ARG are currently deployed on a routine seven-month deployment to the U.S 3rd, 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation as a crisis response and contingency force.
