U.S. Army Pfc. Jose Vallejo, an infantryman from Queens, N.Y., with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Task Force Duke, crosses the finish line during the TF Duke 5k "fun-run," at Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan, May 30. The 5k was held to celebrate Memorial Day, and raise funds to build a memorial in TF Duke's home station of Fort Knox, Ky., to all Duke soldiers who have fallen in combat since 9/11.
