Cmdr. William Herrmann, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), places a command coin on the grave of Medal of Honor recipient Lt. Michael P. Murphy. Murphy, a SEAL and New York native, was killed on active duty in 2005. New York has 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center towers forged into her bow and is participating in Fleet Week New York 2011.
